Greetings. Welcome to my hastily assembled online portfolio.

First, let me mention, I hate to write about my paintings. Descriptions by artists regarding their own work often seem to be written by a publicist. Spanning the range from the tedious to the bombastic, and in the annoying third person to boot.

The obvious and simple: “I paint what I see” has already been used. So here's my best shot:

This recent body of work represents a departure from the traditional landscapes I have painted in the past. These new paintings are suggestions of landscapes which, are interrupted or held together, depending on your interpretation, with environmental noise.

I work primarily in acrylics. Most of the pieces are large canvases.

Well —moderately bullshitty—but hopefully it works.
